Halloween & Cache-Cache
Watching the heavy snowfall outside and being thankful for a warm house, I think it's time for a note!
Mary & Laura dressed up and ready for ridiculous amounts of candy. The dresses were made by our friend Barb, and the aprons were made by Gerald's Mom - cuteness!!!
I organized trick-or-treating starting and ending at our house. This is before everyone left to hit the 14 apartments who volunteered to give out candy. It all went smoothly except when Kendra turned the corner of our apartments and was literally blown over! Afterward we had more food and some games. Though it was rather chaotic, it was a lot of fun!
Yes, she's ours. She's on probabtion, though, because our last kitty was possesed and lay awake at night thinking of ways to attack us. But so far this little one has melted our hearts and hasn't scratched anyone - yet. A friend brought her to us a few days ago knowing we were interested. Then for two hours, we could not find her anywhere - and our house is not that big! Finally we saw her hiding behind the French dictionary in the bookshelf, fast asleep. And so her name is "Cache-cache" (pronounced "cash-cash") which means "Hide-and-go-seek" in French. She is quite the people-cat - her fat, fuzzy little self follows us around the house and begs to be in our laps. Now if we could just convince her that the litter box is superior to the carpet . . .

I wonder if the same tricks work on cats as it does with puppies. Feed them on a schedule and watch how long the urge to go takes them to hit. When that period of time has passed, put the cat in the litter box. Praise them and pet them when they do good. Love the pictures. Kiss the girls for us.
