Breakfast for my valentines. Amazingly, Gerald found fresh flowers through the 'greenhouse club' on campus - a rarity around here!

The girls just finished these cloth dolls in Friendship Club. Here Emily and Tana (Arabic "T") are getting treated to a fabulous meal. Ever tried teaching 10 girls how to sew at one time? Yikes! We all survived and some turned out to be pretty good in spite of their obvious issues with hair-loss...

Did you know that Mardi Gras (fat Tuesday) started out as a simple pancake meal to use up all the fat you're not supposed to eat during lent? Soooo we had a pancake feed here Tuesday organized by our chaplain, Karen. Gerald was crowned king for the night, given many honorable titles and had a "servant" while those of us who were paupers played some very ridiculous relays. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time - especially when I played Karen in Twister using some rarely-used muscles!

I wish we could be there to share the reign of King gerald. It is nice to see that there are funny and happy times in your life. We were concerned that you had a lot on your plate. Love the dolls. Those cloth dolls are cute also.
