Wind

When we moved here, little did we realize that we would actually have MORE wind here than in Kansas! Because we are on the edge of town at the top of a "mountain" (as they say here) and because the tiny trees they have planted have not yet matured, there is no windbreak for us.
If I have all my windows open, my hair blows all over the place some days. A while back, we had kids in our house throwing up pieces of paper and laughing as they literally floated through our house on the wind. My sheets on the laundry line are frequently wrapped around the line several times by the time they are dry.
A few weeks ago the wind blew relentlessly for about 3 days. It sounded like a train was passing by as it howled and whistled on and on at what we guessed to be 50-60 mph continuously. I was ready to buy earplugs or at least go into town for a few hours just to have some quiet! Since then it's been unusually calm with amazingly blue skies. No good thunderstorms, yet, though. I hear they come in the spring - I hope so!

I love wind. The girls are doing exactly as I would be doing. Try tying one or a few ribbons to something that way you can see as well feel the wind, one of my favorite things to do. AJ says hi and talks about the girls almost daily. He is ready to go & see them soon. He wants to explore there. -Jacquie M. & co.

Winter is here! There is a 1/4 inch of ice with about 1/2 inch of sleet on top of that. I am subbing atBerryton for their BD program. Fun stuff. I have had the good kids so far. There are a couple of terrors that I will work with next. Kiss the girls for us. Dennis
I can totally see YOU doing that little pose that Katrina is striking. Is she just like you or are you teaching her to pose like that?? :o)
